Disclosure Policy

As a runner, author, travelista, technology geek and dreamer, I am always researching new products, gadgets and destinations. I do review products, races, destinations and events on this blog. And as a teacher at heart, I love sharing my findings with others. These findings are my opinions – which I am, as always, 100% honest about.

There are times when companies and brands approach me about reviewing their product, becoming an ambassador for their brand or creating a sponsored post, in which I am compensated. I do my best to make sure the only opportunities I accept are ones that fit with my beliefs, values and personality, and will be beneficial to you, the reader. I am more interested in being authentic than getting free products.

If I review a product that was given to me, I will always disclose that in my post. If I am an ambassador for a product I am reviewing or discussing, I will always disclose that in my post. If I am being paid for an opportunity such as a sponsored post, I will always disclose that in my post. I will also disclose this information on my social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. My opinions will always be honest, whether positive or negative.

If I do not include a disclosure, it is because I have paid for the product myself and am not being compensated, endorsed or sponsored by the company or brand.

Although I may have experience, I am not qualified in any way to give health or fitness advice. If you need advice in these areas, I highly encourage you to see your doctor or other professional. What I do may not be best for you – just as what others do, may not be best for me.

These disclosures are required as part of FTC Guidelines, but more importantly, I want to be upfront and honest.
