I absolutely loved reading all the comments from yesterday’s Aunt Flo post! I’m excited that many of you continue to workout – I usually do too, but getting home late plus being extremely tired meant a rest day. Those days happen!
Heather from Running With Sass tagged me in a fun little blogger Q&A post – so I thought I’d join in on the fun!
Rules:
1: Post these rules
2: You must post 11 random things about yourself.
3. Answer the questions set for you in their post.
4. Create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
5. Go to their blog and tell them that you’ve tagged them.
6. No stuff in the tagging section about you are tagged if you are reading this. You legitimately have to tag 11 people.
11 random things about me…
- I’m the 2nd oldest cousin (out of 9) on my mom’s side of the family and the 5th oldest cousin (out of 7 – or 10 if you count second cousins) on my dad’s side of the family. And for most of my childhood I lived within an hour of all of them!
- In high school, I got the Physical Education Department award. I took upper level classes (getting all A’s) but got the PE award. Too funny!
- When B Lee and I started dating, we found out that our grandparents all knew each other. When we got engaged – most of the grandparents said, “It’s about time!” (We had only been dating 10 months!)
- I have a whole playlist devoted to N’Sync, Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees and New Kids on the Block.
- I could live in sweats or workout clothes.
- I still don’t know how to put on mascara correctly.
- My eyes have changed color at least 4 times. (Kind of like my hair!)
- B Lee and I have dance parties. I always end up crying from laughing too hard!
- I love mowing the lawn and washing my vehicle in the summertime.
- I had a huge collection of Babysitters Club books growing up – and secretly wanted to be Stacy. And now I am SO mad we got rid of all of those books!
- I learned how to drive a tractor before I learned how to drive a car. (Well, never an actual car – only SUVs and trucks for this girl!)
Questions from Running With Sass:
1.) How long should you be engaged before you get married?
Hmm…this is a tough question! I definitely think you need to make sure you truly know the person you are going to marry – but B Lee’s aunt & uncle were married within weeks of meeting and are happily in love!
I do know that a long engagement isn’t always fun either. B Lee and I were engaged for 18 months before we got married – and that was almost too long!
2.) Must read book?
I don’t think I can choose just one! I have so many favorites – as you can see on my recommended reading page
3.) Biggest pet peeve?
Unfortunately, there are a lot of things that annoy me. (Just ask B Lee.) Things unorganized, constant noises (like tapping a pencil, etc.), drivers that don’t use their turn signal…sadly I could go on and on…
4.) What is your dream job?
Planning Disney vacations is pretty darn cool! I also would like to (eventually) teach at the collegiate level.
5.) Crushed ice or cubed?
No ice.
6.) Have you ever met anyone famous?
Not ‘unexpectedly’. After concerts we’ve gone to see the musicians/singers – but that’s not uncommon to do.
7.) Favorite summer Olympic sport to watch?
Gymnastics. I’ve ALWAYS loved watching it!
8.) Salty or sweet?
Sweet. Definitely sweet.
9.) Would you rather have an encounter with a bear or a mountain lion? Why?
How about neither! Unless it’s a baby polar or panda bear – so cute.
10.) What was your favorite birthday party as a child?
I really enjoyed having all my cousins over – so there isn’t one that really ‘stands’ out! My birthday parties with my friends in high school were always fun too – movies, food and lots of laughter!
11.) What size bed do you sleep in?
Currently a Queen. But we need a King bed desperately. (Especially when your husband is 6’6”!)
Questions for my friends:
1. What’s your favorite animated movie?
2. What is the one piece of technology you couldn’t live without?
3. Would you rather be a police officer, firefighter or EMT?
4. Where would you love to visit (that you haven’t yet)?
5. Mexican or Chinese food?
6. What kind of car do you drive?
7. Who is your favorite cartoon character?
8. Mac or PC?
9. What super hero power would you want?
10. What is your favorite season?
11. Ice cream or cake?
I tag: Bari, Krissy, Megan, Carissa, Heidi, Ellen, Megan, Ashley, Lori/Michelle, and Tina!

Yesterday was busy at work as we have a big event on Saturday – which means the stress level is high as well. In other words – I needed to get a good sweat on after work. Thankfully it was spin night – and believe me, I pushed myself extra hard. And it felt wonderful!
What was your favorite book/series from your childhood?

Really? I absolutely love salsa and tortilla chips!
I loved learning more about you! So cool your eyes have changed colors!
Thanks! We always called my eyes ‘hazel’ (which I think is code for ‘we have no idea what color they actually are’) – and they have changed! So crazy.
I feel like we have SO much in common! Boy bands, Baby Sitters Club, gymnastics.
That is awesome!!!
I love when bloggers do these types of facts/surveys. I love getting to know bloggers
I am also the 2nd oldest cousin on my mom’s side(only we are out of like 24 and counting…Utah=Big Families lol).
I agree – so fun to get to know each other! And lots of cousins is fun too
All I got out of this was that you have a playlist with New Kids on the Block—HANGING TOUGH! I used to love them!!
Haha – I saw them and Backstreet Boys in concert! Talk about your inner teenager coming out
Oooh you wanted to be the sophisticated trendy one with a boyfriend! I really wanted to be Mallory for some reason, I think because I’m an only child and I wanted siblings so bad. Happy weekend!
Love it! In all honesty, there was something great about all of them
I probably was really more like Mary Ann!
I completely agree with the lawn mowing and car washing. People think I am crazy to enjoy doing them but it is about as zen as I can get. I get completely into it.
Agreed! I really enjoy it – my husband doesn’t understand
Haha, I’m not a fan of ice either! I learned how to drive a tractor before a car too and I don’t know which experience was more stressful for my dad.
Have a great weekend!
Haha – gotta love growing up in the country!
